Nice player with cool looks (2009-09-15)
Its only a 20 Watt - I agree, but the audio that it outputs is clear and easy to the ears. I would have liked it better if it had a customizable EQ, but it doesnt have that.

Also, one crappy feature is the clock has to be set everytime the power is shutdown, there is no cell taking care of it.

Its good on the tripods, charges them quickly, and good on FM reception too. Overall a nice add on to your bedroom/living room

20 watts...big sound (2009-08-21)
These are just what i was looking for. They play and charge my 2G ipod touch, and they're really loud. When i put the volume up i can hear them throughout the house. Overall, good product at a fairly good price

Worth every penny! (2009-07-18)
I just received this system today.. the sound is great and the system functions incredibly well. I was very impressed with this product, it surpassed what I expected. It's definitely worth the price that you pay for it.. Obviously there are better systems out there but you'll end up paying twice or three times more for a system that's only slightly better. I'd recommend this to anyone who's looking for an ipod speaker set for a bedroom or living room.

Good sound, stylish accents, reclining dock (2009-04-02)
This dock is good, however, it scratched my iphone 3G on the back, I know it wasn't made for the 3G and I could really care less as I have 3 iphones, but that aside this little sound system preforms it's 20 watt heart out. Understand that this is not a high quality dock with superior speakers, but still maintains very good mid-range audio with no ambient noise you may find with cheaper cones. Bass is surprisingly good seeing there is no 'real' sub woofer, trebles are consistent but EQ options are almost non-existent. One amazing thing I love about this dock is Pandora at night, fold the sheets down dock the iphone to the philips to charge open up pandora and listen to 'zen garden relaxation' radio station. I have a jailbroken iphone so IM apps can run in the background while pandora is running, which is neat but can be annoying when your sleeping (it plays alarms and alerts through the speakers). I had to use different wire than supplied lines due to the space I wanted between both speakers, king sized bed one speaker on each side table, noticed no audio loss (used 14 gauge philips home theater wire). I picked this thing up at circuit city 1 month before they announced their liquidation for $90. If you use your iphone for music buy this, if you have a touch, buy this, if you plan on buying an iphone/touch...buy this.

A Really Good Product For Those Who Don't Even Have An Ipod Like Me (Philips DC177). Better Than IHome Alarms Too! (2009-02-28)
Excellent Product. Excellent Sound!
Works with ANY portable MP3 player that HAS a 3.5mm jack (with 3.55 output in or USB Jump Drive).
Plays MP3/Podcast right through a USB dongle.
It's not essential to have a remote for the Alarm.
Speakers are Tall but relatively thin.
FM is very clear.
USB can charge most MP3 players.
More Value than any IHome Clocks & Speakers.
Looks great and the remote is much better than previous Philips remotes I've had.

Cons:
I got mine used for under [...] shipped and the dock has problems coming up and down.
Apple's monopolistic Propriety adapters and converters are a Pain in the butt.

Overall:
A great Product; I will be trying to get another person one as a present.
