Okay, you want to impress someone? Get them this. Half a terabyte of storage and multiple inputs. I bought two as gifts and both are still cranking along a year later. A decadent gold plated hard drive. Sure, you can buy a boring plastic covered backup drive with more memory, but it won't look as cool. I've been using left over internal hard drives that I have laying around in enclosures you can buy online for my external storage... I ended up with a collection of four, full external drives. sizes from 20gb to 160gb, and not enough usb ports to run all of them.
I wanted something that would get rid of the clutter on my desk and also look good. This drive worked good to consolidate all my information on one drive.
This drive works really good, and the software that comes with it is really easy to use.
There is only one con that I have with this drive, and that is that it gets dusty really easy. (They do send you a cloth with it to polish the top of it.)
