not too bad (2010-02-25)
its a pretty good and sturdy tripod. though the leg locks are kind of cheap, one of the leglocks on mine is broken now and im not sure why seeing as ive never abused this tripod and its rarely been used. it is very light and easily portable. If you are on a very tight budget like i was go ahead and get this tripod, but if you can afford it then get a more expensive and more professional tripod because you really do get what you pay for.

Quick Release - that's cool! (2009-04-14)
This Kodak tripod is the best bang for your buck. Sturdy construction, elevates cameras to 6 feet (good for tallish people), flip top for either landscape or portrait shots and best of all (imho) the quick-release feature that makes this tripod a real pleasure to use. If Kodak has another one that's a mini with quick-release I will definitely purchase it to go commando (laying down) to take pictures of bugs and lizards :)

Great features and build for the price (2009-03-21)
I checked out some of the cheaper tripods, but the Kodak name swayed my decision to spend some more on this tripod (their cameras tend to be well-spec'd and priced.) And I'm pleased enough to write this review. Although $27 incl postage isn't a lot there were cheaper tripods. But I doubt they could match the build and well-thought out design of this one. It's sturdy (lots of locks to keep moving parts still, feature rich (90-degree tilt, handle to raise and lower the camera etc., spirit-level), flexible (the legs are easily adj. with quick-release locks, feet have adj feet for uneven surfaces.) All that is missing is a carrying bag, but there is a handle.

Horizontal adjustment is not so good (2009-03-20)
Works good, height is also good and its strong enough for weights of SLR cameras, but the horizontal adjustment is not sturdy and after 2 months if you tighten to fullest still you cant fix its horizontal axis and it needs hand support while shooting

he loves it! (2009-01-12)
This tripod is exactly what my husband wanted. He is very impressed with its stability. Perfect for the amateur photographer and I think even the advanced photographer. Has captured some great wildlife images already. I HIGHLY recommend it. Esp. at this price.
