Nice Lens (2009-07-23)
This was the third lens that I got for my Rebel XT. I wanted something between the kit lens and my Canon 75-300mm III EF. Since I was just starting out with photography the price for this lens was nice.
Since getting the lens it has become my preferred lens. The zoom is nice and smooth as is the focus in manual. In AF the focus is slow and loud especially at full and minimum zoom. The only time I found this to be a real hindrance, though, was shooting a friends baseball game with the camera in sport mode. I would recommend this lens and will not be afraid of the Cosnia name on others.
great cheap walk-around lens for digital slr beginner (2009-05-10)
i am a newbie to digital SLR cameras. i used to only have point-and-shoot digital camera but I wanted to capture higher quality images. so I went with the canon digital rebel xt.
i wanted a cheap lens to learn on until I get good enough to buy a high-end lens. Further, I did not want to carry around a bag of lenses, so I wanted a walk-around lens the could do wide angle, standard, telephoto, and super-telephoto
because of the 1.6 magnification factor on the digital rebel xt, with this lens I get an effective 45-336mm zoom range, which gives me standard, telephoto, and super-telephoto
this is a great cheap walkaround camera that I can keep on my camera at all times except when I need wide angle shots
it's a great starter lens and the price is great for someone only wanting to spend a little until they get better with the SLR
the images are not as sharp as one you can get with other lenses but are better quality than point-and-shoot images

Lens For Beginners (2009-04-04)
It comes with a tiny little instruction booklet and no warranty card. It's a tight fit with my Xsi. Feels a little heavy but sturdy. The images were good.
Great Lens! (2009-01-20)
To be honest, when I ordered this lens, I had some doubts about what its quality would be. As a lens with such great qualities, and so cheap, I thought that might not be what you expected. As we say here, when the charity is great, even the saint distrusts.
But the truth is that the lens was wonderful.
I own a Canon and a Sigma lens and this Cosina is just as good as the others.. and for such a low price!
I'd buy it again and recomended to everyone who's on a tight budget too.
